Woodridge Residential School
Woodridge Interventions provides on-site, year-round educational services to youth who have been admitted to our adolescent residential substance abuse treatment programs. Our school is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a non-public alternative education service and our educational staff are certified or licensed by the State of Illinois.
Classrooms are separated by gender and class sizes are small, averaging 10 students to 1 teacher. Every classroom is additionally equipped with at least one paraprofessional or educational support staff to assist each teacher and aid instruction.
A comprehensive array of related services and initiatives provide a treatment profile that allows youth placed in the program the maximum opportunity for remediation, treatment, and successful transition to a less restrictive environment. We provide ongoing academic assessments to determine each student’s present level of achievement and gauge their progress. The academic curriculum is differentiated to take advantage of student strengths as well as remedy deficits.
