About us

Since 1994, Woodridge Interventions has been serving adults and adolescents from the greater Chicago area and throughout the Midwest by treating a wide variety of addictions and co-occurring disorders in both residential and outpatient settings.

Located in DuPage County and tucked away on 11 acres of wooded landscape, Woodridge is a neighborhood oasis for individuals seeking respite and help in their struggles with addictions. We offer a continuum of substance abuse treatment services including residential, recovery home, and outpatient programming, as well as an array of special programs that enhance each patient’s treatment process.

Woodridge Interventions provides a variety of substance abuse and related treatment options with differences in setting, type and range of services, and number of services offered.

Inpatient

We offer specialized inpatient substance abuse treatment services to adolescent males, adult males and women through separate programs for each of these four populations.

Recovery Home

We have a step-down Recovery Home program for young men who have completed a residential substance abuse treatment program but are still in need of ongoing treatment while transitioning into work or school.

Outpatient

We provide outpatient substance abuse treatment services to individuals of all ages, including DUI services for both male and females.

Education

Our campus offers separate educational programs for individuals in our residential treatment programs and for students from the community who have been determined to be in need of special education services or alternative learning opportunities.

The services at Woodridge are often tailored to meet the unique needs of specialized patient populations, including juvenile or criminal justice clients, parents involved in child welfare systems, or mentally ill substance abusers.

Our goal is to ensure that each individual who enters treatment with us is placed in the appropriate level of care, and that we match the intensity and type of service to the severity of each individual’s unique treatment needs.

Our Treatment Approach

Woodridge Interventions utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment by combining components of best practices in the field of addictions and evidence-based curricula, including Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment (CBT), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ), 12-Steps, Living in Balance, Choice and Change, the Texas Christian University (TCU) Treatment System, and The Matrix Model for outpatient programming.

We utilize a multi-disciplinary team consisting of specially trained physicians, nurses, certified clinicians and a recreation therapist to care for our patients.

Our comprehensive clinical assessment process places each individual at the best level of care to safely address his or her needs. Levels of care, staffing, and discharge all follow the criteria established by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
